Ok, What does this mean?

Hello, over the last couple of a weeks a girl that I've been in the same geography class for the last few years seems to have taken an interest in me. At least, I think so. I don't really know her very well, as we never really talked that much before a couple of weeks ago. She called my name as I was walking somewhere, I stopped to see why and she simply said "Hello" and we walked together. Strange, I thought. She also was very quick to volunteer to be my partner in a group task thing. Also odd I thought (we hadn't really spoken much before)Recently, we've been talking alot over social media sites, and as it turns out we have a lot of things in common (Odd how you can be around somebody for so long, never relishing that you where so similar). She also seems to be very friendly and interested on what I'm doing (Courses/Uni). I am trying my best to try and not over think things, but lately it's (and her) have been constantly on my mind. It should be said that am utterly inexperienced in the relationship department, my group of friends is relatively closed and close nit (I attempted to ask out one of the girls in the group a while ago, but I was quite clearly in the furthest depths of the freindzone...) So what does any of these mean? Is she interested in me? (I can't for the life of me see why, I'm 5ft9 and slightly overweight lol) Or is she just making an effort to be friendly? Should I talk to her about it, or wait? Is there any point? After all, only a few months remain until we are both going away. m thanks for your time, and advice would be appreciated!
