Is it strange to have never really liked/fallen for someone?

I am 21 years old, and looking back I have realised that I've never been in the unfavourable end of an unrequited love situation. It has always been the other way around. I've had cases where I've liked someone but only after they initially expressed their interest. Is anyone else the same? Is it due to the fact that I simply don't meet enough women, or the fact that my standards (in terms of character, not personality) are too high?
