I thought I would start a thread of fun stories we could share on really stupid (but super fun) stuff we did as teenagers.
BB Gun Wars
As soon as my friend and I were brave enough to let each other shoot at each other with our BB Guns and realize it would only sting, we would start hunting each other in a freshly planted pine forrest (trees were only about eight feet tall). The rules were no pointing above the waist, and no pumping your gun more than twice.
Bat Fishing
This is where we would tie a moth onto the end of a fishing line ad cast it up into the sky as bats were swooping in to eat insects. OMG, it was super fun until we actually caught one, and it scared the crap out of us (rabies anyone?). That thing was pissed, but it eventually got away on its on.
Car Snagging
A friend and I would run fishing line across the highway in the middle of the night and run it about three feet up off the ground. On each end of the line we would tie beer cans. Then we would run off and watch from a distance as a car would snag our line and then continue down the road making an awful clanking noises, to then stop, start, stop, start, stop some more, start, etc.
Riding Lawnmower Gully Racing
My friend had this huge gully out in the fields behind his house and one day while carrying supplies out to build our dirt bike bridge across the creek, we discovered the gully was not too steep for the riding lawnmower to climb back out. We then took turns driving it off a ledge of the gully and racing to the bottom in neutral. It was easy to do on dirt bikes, but something about getting a riding mower over 70 kph made it super exciting.
