Hey guys, as of right now our little man is a month old, and has gotten into the bad habit of fighting sleep. Up until a week ago our normal routine would be he eats, falls asleep for a couple hours, wakes up, feeds, stays awake for 15 minutes to a half hour and then go back to sleep. Now his patterns are very unpredictable. He tends to feed every couple hours, and stays awake all the time. If he sleeps its for fifteen minutes, then he's back to being awake. It wouldn't be so bad if he was only doing this when it's day time hours, but he's doing it at night too. He gets very grouchy and fussy when he's tired, and losing sleep over it. As a side note he's not gassy or has colic. He is a healthy eater, and generally a pretty happy baby. The doctors say he's "perfect", as in no abnormalities and very healthy, so it's not a medical thing. I've read how newborns at his age will generally fight sleep, but we are at a loss as to what to do! Anyone have any experience in this? | |||
