Hi, so this is naturally a sensitive subject for many girls due to the media and esteem issues etc etc. all that messy business, however this is just a light personal issue of mine that I am curious about hearing other peoples opinion of.
My girlfriend is dead set against all forms of makeup and beauty "routine".
She has a strange contempt for those that wear makeup which borders on the sensitive/OTT, but despite this confidence of opinion she doesn't feel pretty in her body and has some image issues (which on of us doesn't?). She is beautiful to me, but the few times I have caught her with well groomed hair and gentle, warming makeup tones (after being attacked at a social of hers or something), she just looks so much...better? Sigh, none of us are perfect of course, but it just adds this subtle and healthy glow to her that just thrusts my attraction to a higher plateau. She feels sexy and exudes confidence during these fleeting and extremely rare occasions, but still holds the same defiance for even the lightest of makeup touches.
I feel a bit guilty to admit it, but yeah it just makes her look so much more "feminine" and it just rejuvenates us both romantically.
I guess my question is, how the hell does a guy even dare to confront her about this? I'm not trying to change her completely, but just a little bit goes such a long way. As always with cosmetics; less is more! I'm just a bit conflicted as to how I should feel.
Cheers :)
