I have been married for over a year and a half. Everything has been great overall but Myvwife comes from a very tight knit family. I know that should be a good thing but sometimes they can be very overbearing. I'm finishing up training as a physician in a very demanding field which requires me to be gone 30 hours at a time. The best jobs are a 2 hour plane ride away from her family. Prior to marriage I spoke about my desire to move to a location that made the last 15 years of training worth it and she was all for it. However that has now changed even though she says it hasn't. I want this to be a mutual decision but as the "bread winner" Of the family the job 2 hours away would be much easier (relatively) allowing me more time for my family. Yet I feel all she cares about is being with her family and not me. Any recommendations? I even offerted to buy her family a cobdo and pay for their flights in.
