They blame themselves for my brothers death.

  • Thread Starter

When I was younger, my brother noticed that one of our neighbours daughters had fallen into the road and pushed her out the way to safety, he managed to do so but was himself hit by the car and died of his injuries in hospital. Ever since then my neighbours have blamed themselves for my brothers death. There is no need for them to. I don't hold them responsible, and I think it is very sad that they still blame themselves.

I recently won some tickets to Lego Land, Harry Potter Studios and other events. I entered the competition purely for the fun of it and I would like to give my neighbours the tickets. I know though that they will still feel too guilty to accept them. How can I get them to take the tickets and let them know that neither myself nor my family have ever held them responsible for my brothers death.

Should I just put the tickets through their letter box? I am going to university this September and I will really like before I go to get my neighbours to stop blaming themselves for something that was never their fault.
