I was on a bar crawl with a sports club I'm a part of the other night and at the pre-drinks I got talking to a girl who had joined the club a couple of weeks ago and we hadn't spoken in more than passing since she joined. I stayed with her most of the night and I quite liked her, we were getting on well, I was having a bit of recreational flirt (I say recreational because I'm not really the sort of person who hooks up with someone after what is essentially the first time I've met them) and she seemed to be responding well.
Now on the way from the final bar to the club we were walking alone and she said to me "Before you get any ideas, I've seen what you've been doing all night and you're a nice enough guy but you're not getting laid" and I replied "Don't worry about it, I'm not that sort of person I was just having some fun" and then she said "Well I'm glad we've got that sorted". It was kind of awkward for bit after that and we didn't speak much until we got near the club.
She stopped to get some cash from an ATM and I got into the queue to get into the club and I was talking to one of the my mates and he said "If you play your cards right you've got a pretty good chance of bringing her home" and I was like "Nah mate, I'm not after anything tonight and even if I was she already said no" and just as she was coming back to the queue he practically yelled "SHE ALREADY SAID NO". I turned to look at her and she had obviously heard him because she had a bit of a disgusted face on and she wouldn't come near me for at least an hour once we got in there. Eventually though she danced on over and we continued as we had been for the rest of the night.
Is it worth me pursuing it any further or was what she said about not getting laid a pretty permanent sign of rejection?
I should also maybe add that I had to kiss one of my friends to stop her getting felt up by this creep and my new friend saw and commented on it once or twice as we were all walking to get taxis home.
