Someone else crushing on your SO

My bf recently became friends with a woman who is living in our area for a year (she has been here about 7 months already). About three weeks ago she invited him over to help her cook/eat dinner and it was the first time I started wondering about this "friendship". He agreed it seemed strange so asked if I could join, and I did. The night was fine, she and I got along quite well, and I told myself to stop worrying. She also dates women so I thought maybe her friendship with him really was platonic. Fast forward to last week. They had started hanging out quite a bit more, but always in groups. Was I always there? No. Work has been crazy lately plus I've had a cold. Anyways, its never been just the two of them so I wasn't worried. Several days ago she emails him to say she has strong feelings and cannot be friends with him anymore. That's what he told me she said, but I have a feeling it was more to the point of "I like you and you like me so ditch the gf and let's get together". He admitted to me he has a bit of a friend crush, but isn't the least bit physically attracted to her (she really is quite ugly). He said he was sorry but that he loved me and wasn't leaving me and she accused him of leading her on. When asked for specifics she gave a bunch of examples of nights when they were with groups and I wasn't there, to which he answered it wasn't leading someone on to go out in a group and "be nice" to someone. He is a flirt, so I can see how she read it wrong, but I'm also furious that she was fine going behind my back to try and take him (why tell him you have a crush unless you are trying to do that). The decision was to end the friendship and stop all communication. The hard part of that? W e all WORK TOGETHER :( Anyways, I just needed to vent on all this. Even though I don't worry about losing him I'm now going to feel awkward whenever I see her anywhere. I also hate that we have a bunch of mutual friends and want to tell them what a ho-bag she is, but that's hard without being a total rumor spreading bitch. Any advice? :/
