A boy I've known for a few years (haven't really spoken to much in the past) bumped into each other in a club on new years and got along really well. We spent most of the night in the club together, he took my number and snapchat etc and he even walked me half way across the city so he could help me find a friend so I could get home safe.
My friend was actually with his friend that night too and she's been seeing him ever since. Turns out that the boy I was with has never had anything close to a relationship before and has never done much more than kiss a girl so he's very nervous and shy with girls (we're bother 19).
His friend told my friend that he hasn't stopped talking about me since new years and that he really likes me. We've been texting for a few weeks now, but I've noticed that I always have to text him first or we don't talk..(I don't text him everyday, I wait a few days as I feel like I'm suffocating him otherwise).
Even though his friend says he really likes me and the only reason he doesn't text first is because he's new to this and shy etc, it's really starting to get to me as I don't feel that he likes me or he would have made at least a slight effort.. Even if he's shy, we're only texting, it's not as if I'm calling him.
I really like this boy and don't want to give up on him, but what can I do about this? Is he worth it (from an outside opinion)?
