because these are what my mother-in-laws did:
my mother-in-law lives 10 hours from us, she would invite my family to go her places in summer and convince us to go her place by offering watching our kids, but every time after we arrive, she always refuses to watch our kids for just occasionally, not even after I put kids in bed in her place and she didn't plan to go out.
this summer, when we were in her place, I wanted to go with my hb who wanted to go store to get something for his kids from his past marriage, her own grandchildren, but my mother - in- law refused to watch our kids for just a little while.
now I feel resentment, I don't want to go her place any more. but I am sure my hb will yell to me.
