we were out clubbing, quite drunk. we got quite close, he kissed me and told me he still liked me (we had a 'thing' a couple of months ago where we liked each other and nearly got together but I broke it off cause I was only very recently out of a separate relationship, which upset him quite a bit and we have barely spoken since then).
so last night I decided to tell him I liked him back and he didn't say anything for ages, but then finally said he didn't feel the same way and thanked me for telling him anyway.
I'm so confused now! :( I'm disappointed but not upset, and I'm just so confused, why would he do this? of course it's fine that he doesn't, but even for being drunk, what he said was so sincere and he said so much nice stuff about me. I think he forgets he said it and I didn't tell him last night.
should I tell him what he said? I know it won't make a difference but I feel so stupid having put myself out there and being rejected, I kinda thought it was a given that he liked me back, and I'm torn between wanting to play it cool and wanting to be like, what the hell is going on you told me you liked me first?!
