Hi,
I was just looking for some reassurance that I did the right thing I suppose.
I have a neighbour who is a young mother, she's 18 and has a 2 year old Son. She seems like a nice enough girl and I don't doubt that it must be very hard for her but some of the things that happen on her rented property concern me. Especially as she has a 2 year old living there.
These are the things I complained about.
- She is only allowed 1 animal, she has 2 dogs (labs), 2 cats, a rabbit, a tortoise and a snake.
- She leaves the 2 dogs and the rabbit (not caged) in the garden 24/7 (they're outside animals) the garden is tiny, honestly.
- There is dog poo, rabbit poo and cat poo literally everywhere and it stinks!
- The fence for the garden is not high at all, I'd say it is just above knee height, her dogs regularly jump over the fence and poo in our garden.
- The garden is also full of rubbish and old bits of furniture etc, it's only a small garden.
- I regularly hear her screaming and swearing at her 2 year old.
- I have heard her and seen her being violent to her boyfriend, I hear it a lot. I know that she bites him and punches him in the face.
- I hear the boyfriend screaming and swearing at the 2 year old on a regular basis.
- For the past month there has been a huge increase in the amount of people coming and going from her property and I suspect they are dealing. I know her boyfriend is a cocaine user, so maybe they're dealing?
After having spoken to this girl 3 times she does not seem to get the message and it seems to be getting worse not better.
The only thing that I am really worried about is that little boy who lives there, if they will swear and scream at him at the top of their lungs then I wonder what else they must be doing to him. I felt that if I didn't complain and something happened to him then I wouldn't be able to live with myself.
1 person who I live with told me not to complain, the rest were behind me (I don't know why they couldn't make the complaint) but I feel a bit worried now.
I suppose if she's not doing anything wrong then it shouldn't matter should it?
