Hello all! Okay, here's the deal. I'm the breadwinner of the family. We have a two year old and another one on the way. I'm 23 weeks pregnant. My husband took out an extra school loan to help pay bills and to try and save money so we can move out of the house we're in because frankly, it's an absolutely miserable existence.
I found a part time job in our area and told my husband to apply for it. He's in school every day of the week but on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday he's out at noon. He has late night classes on Tuesday and Thursday. He turned in his application and has not called the place even though I've told him too. I told him I was going to apply at the same place and when I told him about it, he told me, "Yeah I don't see why not".
My doctor has put me back on Prozac because unfortunately I'm dealing with depression that's starting to affect things. He tells me he doesn't want me to do anything to further stress me out and yet, when I mention I'm going to apply for a part-time job, he doesn't even hesitate to say yeah that's fine! What I expected him to do was immediately refute it and tell me no I didn't have to find another job and that we would figure things out. I work full-time right now Monday through Friday and he made the comment that a part-time job will get me out of the hell we live in.
He is unemployed and doesn't know if he'll be getting unemployment while in school. He hasn't called unemployment to find out his options, which I've told him to do. I've expressed my want to be a stay at home mom for our two kids, but it's looking like he's against that, even though he doesn't outright tell me. He knows that I can get something quicker than he can because I have more working experience than him. He has only had one job and he's 29. I recently found another job that is weekends only and I don't know if he's going to go for it. He said he was wondering about pay since the job posting didn't specify and it's about a 45 minute drive from where we live. I told him that he wouldn't find out unless he applied.
