Everyone knows that gay sex is haram. But if you masturbate in front of each other then I don't think it constitutes as gay sex; that constitutes as masturbation but with the visual aid of a person.
That basically puts it in the same league as when a heterosexual man masturbates to an erotic poster. It's masturbation.
If we were to make it more intimate and hold hands then that would go down as homosexual acts since there is physical contact.
Masturbation is halal if it prevents premarital sex or homosexual acts.
