Hello,
My husband and I have been married for 16.5 years. We do not have any children. We have some issues we need to work on in our marriage and I hope he will setup marriage counseling in April.Tonight I just want to post about one issue and find out if I am in the wrong for not letting it go.
We both are on Facebook. I use it to keep up with my family and friends from high school. My husband keeps up with his surfing buddies and friends from high school. We each show being married to each other.
One of my husband's friends is a married female who he ran around with in high school. He went to a prom with her in high school. Back in 2010, she started making posts on his profile pictures similar to the following:
So I have noticed lately she does not click "Like" on any of his beautiful scenery pictures. However, as soon as he posts a pic of himself, she will post "Hubba". Today he posted a pic of himself, and she asks "Dare I say hubba?" Jeff clicked Like on this comment, and then posted: "lol, I dare ya!, Double-dog dare ya". She replied lol.
This posting "Hubba" on his single pictures has happened numerous times. Jeff does not see any problem with her posting these comments. Tonight I told him these comments were disrespectful to me and to our marriage. Jeff said what does it matter, I am with you. He does not see any issue with her comments.
Am I picking the wrong battle to fight? In the past I have made comments to her post, but today decided to take the high road and not post anything. I believe my husband is more concerned about offending his friend than upsetting me with allowing these posts to continue.
Is my husband correct in his thinking, and am I wrong?
Thanks in advance.
