Following the current Virginity and Islamc trend I was wondering the following.
Genuine concern.
Most people + TL;DR : GO DOWN. Details can be skipped.
Definition:
Non-religious Muslim man : imo : it is a man that was taught the doctrines of Islam however is not a practiser or is on a rather low degree. But basically doesn't mind clubbing drinking and so on. Some people would call this a 'social muslim'
He was born into the religion, didn't quite chose it.
Obviously some ppl will call this 'not real muslims' but whatever. Remember it's wrong to judge.
I am a Muslim girl, but I am not very religious or much of a practiser and ideally would want my husband to be the same. However I do believe in the fundamentals of Islam.
I believe that if people actually followed properly the religion without going overboard about it (or making their own stuff up) it would be a great humanity. Honest and true people who help each other.
Does it really matter that you pray 5 times a day, wear Islamic dresses and have a beard/hijab, yet when time comes to demonstrate your teachings you are a liar, selfish person and don't respect people or your women etc.
It's basically a set of social norms that if followed properly are very rewording. Islam also pushes you to better yourself and learn.
I don't like fanaticism.
I am ambitious and I do intend on having a good job. Yes I do drink, yes I party but no I don't get drunk, I can hold myself, I don't say or do stupid stuff, I know when to stop, I don't wear too provocative clothes, I don't aim to attract male attention either. I don't lie, I don't steal. And if I actually have to lie I feel really bad about it and need to correct myself. Stealing, except for online movies, I can't do it. Even knowing that I won't get caught.
I like how (well taught) Muslim guys (sorry but many Muslims weren't imo) have to cherish very dearly their wife and be very very loyal to her. Trust each other and so on.A relationship where we would be very giving to each other. I also like the idea of having a rather dominant male (although slightly not abusing) and to comply :) .
I don't expect and won't allow my husband to hit me.
Anyhow.
The rest + TL;DR :
I am a non practising Muslim and ideally want to marry somebody who is too however I'd like him to have the fundamentals and main doctrines of Islam even if he feels like an atheist/agnostic.
However I always found enticing the notion of keeping myself for my husband and find it useless to spend such an intimate and special moment/bond with a stranger or somebody I won't end up with. [I'm rather attractive so it's not like I can't ]. It is sometimes very very very hard and tempting to just unleach all that sexual tension but I persevere because I want to share that intimate moment with my husband.
QUESTION: So I was wondering, specially to the targeted group, how would you feel about marrying a girl that despite being modern and clubbing/drinking she restrained from sexual activities with guys . Saved herself for her husband ?
And would any of you Tsrians fit the profile out of curiosity :$
