| This has been bothering me for ages. I just keep thinking, if all boys just accepted that they must be the ones to approach girls they like and kick things off, then wouldn't everything be so much easier? I see so many boys on here saying that they were shy and didn't approach the girl they liked, so of course nothing happened! I get that guys might be shy. I get that it's hard to approach a girl. But you're a GUY! It's socially acceptable for you to do that. If girls started doing the approaching and initiating, then it's worse for them if they get rejected! I couldn't explain how it is, but surely you must all get what I mean, it's worse for a girl to be rejected that it is for a guy to be rejected. So can't boys just accept and acknowledge that if they want anything to happen, THEY must do it! They shouldn't wait in vain for a girl to approach them, because, let's face it, she probably won't! So if we removed that thought that "maybe the girl will approach ME" then boys would do all the approaching and more relationships could happen! Being honest, it's harder for a girl to ask a guy out or ask him for his number than it is the other way around, right? I know what it's like to be shy, I'm very shy myself. But there have been times when I hoped that a guy liked me, and there were reasons that made me really think he might have, but he never said anything! So how could anything have happened! It's so frustrating, and don't say I should have approached him myself because I would have looked and felt incredibly stupid if it had all been in my head and I was reading signs that weren't there! So, what do you all say? Can't boys just grow a pair and start making more moves on girls instead of being wussy? | |||

Why can't boys just accept they have to take the lead??
