0 to relationship way too fast?

Within a few days of meeting, my current boyfriend wanted to become official. We had met online and started texting and talking on the phone. We hadn't even met in person yet when he asked me to be his girlfriend. He said that us together felt right and I felt that too but now I'm taking a step back and looking at it and I'm not so sure. Our first date was great and I do like him. He's been really distant lately, though and I have no idea what's going on. We've barely talked and he's been just reading my texts and not replying. When I did get him on the phone and asked if things were ok, he said they were but his actions say different. Shouldn't he want to see me? I don't want to waste my time anymore; I know it isn't normal to get into a relationship this quickly and I don't have many people to talk to about this, so if there's any advice anyone has for me, I'd really appreciate it.
