| So after the college made a series of mistakes resulting in a poor reference and my application being handed in 3 months late, it looks as though I will now be going to college for another year instead of university. Because of this, I will also be staying at home for another year because I have no one to flat share with (besides one mate, but I dont think it's a good idea to share with him because hes pretty unreliable) and obviously will not be moving into halls. But basically my main concern about all of this is the effect it will have on my social life. I have had pretty much no social life for the past year since I left school. I realised all of my "friends" from high school were not the kind of people I wanted to be involved with, and the people I work with are not the kind of people I would do anything with either (not that they are bad people, but they are all older than me and into different things). I have also been self-conscious about going out on night outs as I have been a bit overweight for the past year or so (not hugely overweight but still a fair bit). I think this may also be a reason why I am 19 and still a virgin (because of weight issues and confidence issues). But now that I have started losing weight I am starting to get my self-confidence back and by the end of summer i should be in good shape. So really my question is how is staying at home going to affect my social life (specifically having sex/ picking up women)? | |||
