| Anon of delete. I've simplified this from an earlier post entitled "Girlfriends Past" as I think i could make the exact issue a bit clearer. My girlfriend is troubled by some aspects of her past. I am unaware of the details and would prefer not too know. I know that shes had an "adventurous" past and some things have caused ongoing problems for her. Quite often she will look back at things and get anxious and doesn't seem to be able to forget the past - to which i can't help her because i don't know what has happened due to me previously always refusing to be told. I feel she wants to confide in me to see if I still accept her. (Even though i've told her many times her past doesn't bother me - and just not to talk about it). But it seems no matter how much time passes, she still lives in the past and gets upset by things. Because I love her... should I suck up the discomfort and ask for the details so that I may be able to help - even though i'm paranoid at how i'll react out of discomfort? | |||
