| My boyfriend and I are going to uni in September, I made a mess of UCAS but fortunately got into Cardiff which has really been my only offer that I'd even consider (I wish I'd known what I was doing and could do it all again, reapply to diff unis but at least I do like Cardiff). My boyf is deciding between Cardiff and Sheffield. He's worried I want the 'wreckless partying' associated with Cardiff, but I'm adamant that I merely want a social life to balance out the hard work I intend to put into my degree rather than sick in my hair. He's doing Chemistry so he'll have more work probably as I'm doing English Lit, and needs a good social life too. He's worried we'll either grow apart due to new friends or spend all our time with eachother and not make friends, however I'm adamant we can do it. So he's not sure on uni choice because it could all go wrong at Cardiff with us. We're thinking Talybont South for a good social life as it's what we've heard. How do you rate the uni for English and Chemistry? How do I make him see I am only interested in him and even if somebody is attractive or hits on me, I know instantly they're incomparable to my current boyfriend and that he's a keeper and the one I want. Our relationship is very good, but a long distance relationship (about 5/6 hours) may not work due to the expense and distance, and the possibility to grow apart. | |||

How do I reassure my boyfriend that I am committed to him?
