| So last Friday, I met someone I think I might be interested in getting to know better. I've seen her around before and interacted very briefly but last Friday, I ended up at an event she'd organized and we chatted a little. I added her on Facebook, partly hoping she might be available to chat some time but she never is. We have mutual friends/acquaintances so we might see each other again by happenstance but that's pretty unreliable. I worry that emailing her now and asking her out to something could seem weird and out-of-the-blue. Plus, I'm a little worried that if she's not interested, she might feel weird and say something to people we know in common (in a relatively small city). What do other people do in situations such as this? (Someone did basically ask me out once by looking up my work email address after we chatted briefly and it worked! But that's not at all typical behaviour for me + it seems different when a guy does something like that, at least to me, somehow.) | |||
