About two weeks ago, I told a girl that I really like from work that I love her. She has a boyfriend who lives in another city. She told me she wanted to spend more time with me outside work. Since then, we have met outside work a few times and are spending more time with each other at work too.
Today over lunch I brought up the idea of her leaving her boyfriend. I learnt a lot about her relationship with her boyfriend. They've been together for 5 years. Four out of those five years he's been living in different cities/countries to her and she feels hopelessly lonely. The only reason she is with him is because she's been in the relationship so long that she feels she can't leave him. He earns an excellent living, he's faithful and a reasonable guy. He's made efforts to get to know her family and she would find it difficult to justify it to her friends and family. However, she is fundamentally upset and doesn't feel she loves him.
She suggested that we meet at my apartment or hers sometime later this week. She says that she really loves spending time with me and it makes her feel excited in a way she hasn't felt for ages. She doesn't however want to do anything about her boyfriend "yet".
I don't know what I should do now. I think she just wants a bit of fun and then she'll be done with me when she moves away.
On one hand I just want to tell her...I love you but this isn't what I want and walk away. and then see what she does... and on the other I'm so attracted to her and a part of me thinks, maybe after being more intimate with her, she'll change her mind.
Put the internet to work for you.
