So me and my boyfriend had been going out for 7 months- we are both currently in year 12 and it wa great. My friends and family all said they could see how happy he made me and I got on really well with his family too. We were really serious, we had been talking about the future such as University options and applying for unis near each other(we were both looking at several london options) and we both always said we loved kids and wanted them one day in the future. I know it sounds stupid but I thought it would last forever.
About 2 months ago he moved about an hour away which isn't really that much since we were already at different sixth forms and we still saw each other practically every weekend and talked during the week. However the last month I could feel he was feeling distant. He never bothered to message me back, despite the fact he was active on FB, and things started to feel awkward which it never did before.
When I got home from work Tues night I called him as he seemed to be in a bit of a bad mood and I wanted to try to cheer him up, however he told me that it just wasn't working. He said he was still completely in love with me and that hadn't changed at all, and that this was the hardest thing he'd ever have to do. He said he still wanted us to be close, just not in a relationship but as best friends instead, if I wanted. He then went on to say he was going to try to get some sleep (about 2 AM now) although he knew he wouldn't be able to as he would be up all night crying. Honestly at this point I was about to burst into tears so I hung up. I haven't heard a single thing since, but I just don't know why.. if he loves me still then why doesn't he want to be with me. And the worst part is he said he'd been thinking about this for a month but he never said anything to me when we saw each other. On his Facebook he's tagged in photos etc looking happy and his comments are as per usu al, it's like he's not affected at all. I literally only told a few of my closest friends today about what happened however when I got home someone else had messaged me asking what had happened as they had heard it from someone who knew one of his friends. Does that mean anything if he's been telling everyone he's broke up with me?
And on a side note, am I a stalker, I am constantly checking his facebook, and I've been listening to songs on youtube non-stop which are meaningful to us, as well as having his soundcloud songs over and over on repeat all day?
