He hit me, but I really did deserve it

  • Thread Starter

I woke him up from a nap by tickling him and giggling, and he got angry. I didn't realise how angry he was and continued being annoying and mucking around. He got really angry and lashed out, and to try and lighten the mood and make it less awkward I went to tickle him again and he went crazy. He put his hands round my throat, he punched me in the arms and side and he put a pillow on my face for a few seconds. He also twisted my arm until I thought it would break. At some points I was giggling because I was nervous and couldn't believe it was happening and it just made him angrier.
He kept telling me that he hated me and he had enough of me.

He stopped when I burst into tears and wouldn't let him near me, and he started crying and apologising too.

It isn't like him at all and he has never ever done this before, and it really is my own fault for winding him up.

What can I do to make sure he doesn't feel terrible/guilty in the morning?
Should we address and talk about it- or should we carry on like it didn't happen?
