Hello, my friend recently broke up with his girfriend on Valentines day and I do not know whether to be shocked or impressed. I am shocked in that he did it in a rather strange manner, she was affected greatly by the floods and he sent her a text in which he said he was "waving goodbye" to her (a delibrate pun I believe). . Also, the girlfriend was applying to Oxford University I believe but apparently the break up has made her depressed so that might affect her grades. However, I am also rather impressed by my friend, eg the calculatingly cool manner by which he initated the break up. So I do not know what to think really. He was already having relationships with other girlfriends while with her, so perhaps it was for the best.
