Irrational thought - breaking the cycle.

Hi - Starting a new thread in the CWI section. There is no infidelity in our marriahe, but my husband was previously married and divorced bc of infidelity on his ex wifes side. He seems to struggle with this and associates things, places, comments with "an unfaithful person." Example: a working woman is a cheating woman, if i like pink, yorkies, tatoos, gym, i am planning to cheat- this is a conclusion the mc made. This is influencing our marriage. Last advice given our mc was to break irrational thinking - he mentioned that a person with irrational thoughts has very little control over these thoughts. How does a person break this cycle? How can you help your partner break this cycle?
The mc did say that I can help by protecting my husband from "attacks" - hurtful and jugemental comments of his previous short-lived marriage from family members - i should not allow this in our home - i am doing this.
Also just wanted to ask - will he ever be "normal" (undamaged) - whats going to heal this and will it heal?
