Need your advice please! Not sure if pushing bf to get a job is the right thing

Really need your advice! So my boyfriend has a job but hes barely making ends meet, the same job barely pays him on time and his supervisor is very mean --they have had to have several meeting with his union because of him. Hes thinking of starting a business because he doesnt want to work anymore but still needs money to start it. His credit is in bad shape because of relationships in the past(naive and gave credit card to old gf)... So after many many many discussions (some being arguments) he took my advice and decided he was going to look for a job. Since Im in the business of recruiting, I decided to dedicate a portion of my time to helping him as well, he has been getting calls and getting interviews etc. He might be getting a new job soon that will be paying nearly double of what hes getting now. But in the back of my mind, I feel like I did too much. ( I think its because I know how reluctant he is to move on, he doesnt want to work for an yone anymore--thats why he's opening a business, but he needs money to make money- he needs to repair his credit etc) Im confused, Im doing it because I was thought behind/beside every man is a great woman pushing him to suceed and vice versa, did I do the right thing by pushing him to get a job! He says the jobs hes been called for he can do and doesnt mind. But I still kind of feel like, I made him do something he didn't want to do
