| Hey guys. My girlfriend (of 3 months) has moved back to Sao Paulo, Brazil after studying English in London since January. I'm 22, she is 18. I've finished university in England, she has yet to go in Brazil. We were very close, actually, considering the length of time we were together. After a very sad goodbye at Heathrow, we've agreed to try and keep things going, but I have to wonder, can such a long distance relationship work? Can Skype make all the difference? Is the age difference between us too great at this time? (i.e. she couldn't come to England again because she is studying at university for the next 3/4 years). Should I have asked her to stay longer? Should I consider teaching English in Brazil? (Having just graduated, I'm now assessing all my career options etc and would relish the chance to learn Portuguese) I'd appreciate some of your thoughts. Cheers :) | |||
