I've worked with a guy for a while and we've become good friends. We have lunch a couple of times a week and work very closely together. He didn't bring up the fact he had a girlfriend for several months so I was a bit taken aback. We can be very flirty with each other, have stuff in common and there is a very natural chemistry there.
So...after he split up with his girlfriend I made a move. He turned me down/looked really sad and said he wasn't over his ex yet. The next time I saw him we seemed to clear the air and I feel he has been very flirty again since. We still spend just as much time together, a huge grin always spreads across his face when he first sees me, he looks deep into my eyes for quite a long time and sometimes I catch him watching my face and smiling long after I've finished speaking. The other thing was that when he was about to meet another guy from our work for the first time, he asked me to clarify who he was. I said this was the guy that had asked me out previously and he said "ah right, I'm not going to like him am I" !!
A few days after I made the move he was leaning in very close to me, to the point where I felt like saying "Dude really?". Does he possibly just enjoy the flirting but that's it?
