Girlfriend gone on secret holiday with friend. Wtf?

  • Thread Starter

Hi guys & girls, can you offer me a bit of advice please?

My gf said that she has been stressed, not feeling great and in the need of a break away somewhere in the UK countryside. Just a drive and find a place to stay kinda thing.

She half-arsedly invited me but I said that I couldn't go as I had work but I'd be available next weekend.

Prior to this on 16th June, I'd asked her to come to Great Yarmouth with me as I had free tickets. She said that she didn't want to come as she doesn't like trains and that she wanted to go on a date in London-only.

Cool.

On Sunday 22nd she claimed to REALLY NEED to get away from it all but said that she was worried about asking her boss for time off and sent me a long text saying that she was SURE she needed to get away. I advise her how to approach her boss.

Cool, no problem. She's stressed, if she needs to go away to clear her head then so be it.

I asked her where she was going and she said countryside.

Sunday night she comes round to my place, just as we're going to sleep her gay friend calls her but she doesn't answer and makes out like she's annoyed by him calling so late out of the blue.

He he then texts her and I read the text as it shows up on the screen:

"see you at the airport tomorrow"

I wake her up and I'm asking her what's going on.

She says she booked a holiday to Greece last minute (the day before) and that she didn't want to tell me that she's going abroad and wouldn't have until she got back.

She apologises for lying then wants me to forget about it and forgive her immediately.

When she reached Greece, she texted me that she misses me.

Why not just have invited me then?

Why pretend to be confused as to why your friend is calling you if you two are going on a plane tomorrow. Course he's gonna call you to finalise details.

She claims to HATE spontaneity so why book a last minute holiday for the next day?!

Rhetorical questions, just ranting.

Any opinions or advice?
