I've been really good friends with this guy for about 2 years and even tho people said we'd be a good couple I never really saw it and I assumed he didn't either. I introduced him to a friend of mine and they have been seeing eachother on and off. it wasn't really a relationship but he 'ended' with her a couple of weeks ago because she was very promiscuous and he couldn't deal with the fact she had slept with so many of his friends , although she tells a different story about her ending it because she wasn't feeling him. anyway who broke it off with who isn't important. Anyway, earlier today he asked me out saying he only went out with her to 'get my attention' and make me jealous because all along it was me that he wanted.
I'm a bit sceptical about this because it doesn't seem like an orthodox way of getting a girl to like you. It kinda just seems like things went sour with her so he's looking for a 'safer' bet with me so i said no. I don't think I woulda out with him anyway i think we're better as friends but basically i'm asking if you were trying to get a girls attention, would you go about it in this way. Or were my suspicions right and he didn't like me before?
