Here's my situation -- I found what seems like a great painter/contractor to do some light work in my new apartment - just refinishing floors and painting the interior. He came recommended, he's done big jobs, and I checked out his license and liability insurance and they're good. However, I just found out he doesn't have workers' comp. I'm a little concerned about this -- it's not high risk work, but what if one of his guys gets injured on my property? Is it crazy to work with him? I'm really short on time before I have to be out of my current place (a rental) so I really don't want to find someone else at this point, but I don't want to set myself up for huge problems either.
Put the internet to work for you.
