When have you had an Affair?

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what constitutes an affair? Where is the line for any affair. EA or PA? Sharing personal desires and thoughts? Intimate touching? Kissing? Fondling? Touching genitals? Sharing orgasms? Intercourse? When have you had what is considered an affair? Is it subjective? Case and person specific? Again, maybe it's a dumb question, but my SO and I have discussed it and have differing opinions. In fact, mine have changed over time to be more conservative, as I have had an affair (regretfully) and used to rationalize early on that it wasn't really an affair because we hadn't crossed this line or that line. In the end, it was clear that we had both crossed the line much earlier than we thought at the time, but I'm interested in what other people consider an "affair". Thoughts?
