Break up

My boyfriend and bestfriend of nearly 3 years broke up with me the other night, via text, out of the blue. We are both at uni and see eachother every 3 weeks or so. the last time I saw him was 2 weeks ago for an evening. My feelings for him are so strong, I love him completely and he has said he has fallen out of love with me, yet on the day he broke up with me he told me he loved me. I am really really struggling to cope as it is a difficult time for me on my uni course and his support as my best friend is very much needed but now its gone and i cannot talk to him. I just don't know what to do, he's agreed to see me in a couple of weeks but I can't stand not talking to him. He's been there everyday for the past 3 years. I am barely eating, my appetite has gone. I know I can't destroy my chance at uni. :( :( :( :(
