It makes me really uncomfortable and I'm ashamed that I just brush it off. I do say "Urgh I hate that word" a lot though. My family would be disgusted if they knew I let this happen, but I don't know what to do. The word is used everywhere now and people believe it has a different 'context'. I don't want to cause tension in the friendship group, but it's really getting on my nerves. He's not the type of person you can have a serious conversation with though. What could I say?
