Dad keeps getting on my case about money. Causing a lot of confrontation.

I have a few grand saved up, no credit cards and no debts apart from my student loan. However, since I am not working at the moment and living with my parents, my Dad is very authoritarian about my outgoings. I spend little, but he is terrified that I will somehow end up in debt.

For example, I want to go out for a meal and he starts basically starts worrying. It's like this, basically I am not earning £500 a week like I used to do so he thinks I am just going to end up crazily in debt. We live in the northeast where the cost of living is relatively low so I just don't get his bloody great fear of just living a little. I want to go myself to see a football match in Germany and they think its highly unusual that I am happy to go myself because no one else wants to go all that way to watch football. It's like they're being ****ing accountants over everything!

My younger sister is studying and she gets so much freedom without the constant nagging and expectation to be over sensible with money. She is in France and is going to Spain soon (Erasmus) and she gets so much less worry from my parents.

It's like ffs, I have earned more money and taken on more responsibility than her and I still get all of the nagging!
