Ok so there is this girl that I used to have a great time with. Recently while we were hanging out she told me that she broke up with her boyfriend. An hour after that and after having fun together she started saying how she doesn't want me to have feelings for her and that she doesn't see me in this way etc. The next day I called her and asked her if it would be for her benefit for us to have a break on what I once thought was a friendship and she accepted.
There is no need to get into details because what I am going to ask is simple. During these conversations a lot of things were said that hurt me, but what I realize now is that the one that is utterly confused and hurt is her. I am not sure if the offer to choose to not talk to each other was the correct option. It has already been a week, should I let her contact me when she is ready or should I call her and tell her that we should forget about everything and go do something crazy and have fun without overthinking anything.
I no longer view this as a friendship, there is care between us and definitely we have fun together but I can't look at her as a friend anymore.
