| A close friend and I have fallen out...and it was all very unexpected. I'm 21, he's 22 and it's very rare we have a dispute...and this has turned quite bad. A fortnight ago he told me something I wasn't in the mood to hear, and I got very blunt with him because it was on a sensitive subject between us. The subject touched a nerve with me and my blunt reaction touched a nerve with him. I thought it'd be a good idea to keep a bit of a distance from him to let things settle down. So I decided not to communicate with him for while, but to prepare an apology to give to him after a week or so of having a break from each other. Well...I think I've accidentally let the no-talking go on for too long, as he removed me from Facebook and Twitter last night with absolutely no word or explanation. I'm worried he thinks I went cold on him and don't want to be friends anymore...when in actual fact I was just waiting for things to cool down so I could apologise for causing a tiff. I have still sent him my apology, as well as an explanation as to why I had stopped talking for a while. I know he's received the message (good ol' Facebook 'seen' messaging facility) but he hasn't replied yet. I value and appreciate his friendship so, so much...I'm actually quite devastated about the whole thing. Do you think it'll eventually come to light that it got blown out of proportion? Or have I completely screwed up the friendship? | |||
