The purpose of relationships is mutual romantic/sexual enjoyment

  • Thread Starter

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself what the point of getting together with a member of the opposite actually is?

I see couples all the time in miserable, unhappy relationships where they are constantly arguing and nagging each other, where their relationships is full of jealousy, insecurity, possessiveness, etc.

I can never understand why people stay together in these types of relationships. Seriously, why do people torture each other like this? If you really can't stand each other so much, just go your separate ways. Don't torture each other or make each other's lives a misery.

The whole point of getting together with someone in a romantic/sexual manner is for mutal enjoyme nt. You should enjoy each other's company, in the bedroom as well as out of the bedroom. If you stop enjoying each other's company, it's time to go your separate ways.

It's amazing how many people miss this simple point. I personally don't like stress, drama or negativity, I like to surround myself with people I enjoy being with, and that includes women.

When you understand that relationships are supposed to be about mutual enjoyment, you can start having healthier, more peaceful and more fulfilling relationships, and you can avoid the types of peopl who will spoil your enjoyment of life.

If you want to set your relationship up as one that's mutually enjoyable, talk about this subject when you are first getting to know someone. Explain that you are someone who enjoys life, and that you only want to be with someone who enhances your life in a positive way. Explain that you don't allow whoever you date to nag you, control you, or do any of the other stuff that spoils peoples' enjoyment of relationships. This should weed out the ones who aren't right for you so you can focus on the ones who are best for you.
