Do kids still watch tv?

I grew up in the 70s and 80s, and tv seemed like the big brain rotter that parents wanted to control back then. There was talk about not letting your kids sit in front of the tv all the time, and there was a lot of talk about inappropriate content. Nothing wrong with that, just saying I remember that tv was the big thing back then that kids wanted too much of, and adults wanted less of.

I will admit that prime time tv seemed to once be more attractive to younger viewers. I remember shows like The Hulk, The Dukes of Hazzard, The Six Million Dollar Man, Happy Days, and such as that. Not that i was always allowed, but there was always something on at night that I wanted to watch.

I heard a teen the other day saying how neither he nor any of his friends really watched tv. That got me to wondering if kids even watch tv anymore, or if it's become old and boring with other electronic devices taking it's place.

I have teen kids, and although they have a show or two they like, they aren't interested in tv as much as my generation was.

What's the experience with kids you know?
