So I'm 18 and I met a girl on Facebook she's 16. We had been speaking for 2 weeks on Facebook until I decided not to wait for the day we planned on meeting and just get a bus to where she lived (mostly the reason for this is so I knew I wasn't being catfished). So I met up with her and she decides to tell me her best mate is her ex and we are meeting up with him and his girlfriend. So with the pressure of trying to make a good first impression I also have to meet her ex too? I wasn't exactly sure on how to act so I wasn't myself that day. More and more of her so called mates were meeting up with us, so as soon as they asked where I was from they'd just leave it at that making no effort with me really, I don't know what these people think about Cambridge which is where I'm from but it obviously isn't good. I do like this girl and we are still going on this "date" but I'm just feeling a b it down that my first impression sucked due to the fact I was meeting everyone in the town for the first time including the girl (a lot of pressure for me), they were friendly but they just weren't including me as soon as they heard where I was from, I don't know if I should ever go back seeing I almost got in a fight for not giving a certain group of people (travellers) any gum and if the ex boyfriend who's a best friend should really be concerning me this much. Please help with this guys, I'm just lost. Plus it's been 2 days since all of this happened, she's not as talkative as she was before and only replys with "ok x" or "yeah I know". Should I just stop talking to her until the date or what?
