My boyfriend and I have been going out for 9 months but haven't done anything yet. He has had several girlfriends before me but only slept with the first one which was around 7 years ago, but this is my first relationship. Yesterday we were talking about it, but I said even if I wanted to we can't do it right now. He asked why and I said because we don't have protection. He said yeah I have a condom in my wallet. I was shocked because he hasn't had sex for so long and we have been so slow up until now, there has never been the slightest chance that I would have gone that far yet and he knows it. I have waited because I take it quite seriously, I want to be sure I won't regret it and that it is the right time and with the right person, particularly for my first time. I know a lot of people wouldn't agree but I think you should only sleep with someone who you love/ have very strong feelings for. He says he got the condom just before he met me but he didn't even have a girlfriend at this time. This has kind of made me worried/ put me off. It's like he would sleep with someone whenever he got he chance if he carries it all the time and he knows we wouldn't be doing it. He says he would never have a one night stand but would sleep with someone after knowing them for only around a week which I really disapprove of and puts me off. I'm not sure what to think.
