How do you choose a girlfriend?

  • Thread Starter

I find it hard choosing from 20 different boxes of cereal in the supermarket.

But apparently I must choose from 7 billion people to marry.

OK that's an exaggeration.

I can narrow it down to 1.5 billion by just choosing from English speakers.

Then 0.75 billion because I'm not gay.

Maybe only a quarter of those are within 10 years age of me.

That's still about 200 million girls to choose from.

Really I don't have time to chat to them all!

OK. So maybe I will cut it down and say I'll only consider people from London. That's 8 million people. 4 million girls and about 1 million within my age range. I want someone educated so maybe a third went to or are going to University. That's about 300,000 girls to choose from now. Perhaps I prefer blondes so that's less than a third. Just 100,000 girls now. I can't see how to narrow it down any further without actually seeing them.

I could invite all those girls and they would fit in Wembley Stadium. They would just about fit. Then I could do a massive speed-date. Giving 3 seconds to each girl and staying up for 12 hours at a time. Usually I see some spark in maybe 1 in a hundred girls (I'm quite picky) so after a week I could have narrowed the girls down to just 1000.

Then I would invite them all to the Sugar Hut nightclub in Essex. And we'd have a big party and see what they're dancing skills are like. By then I could probably narrow it down to 100.

Next I would have to go on a date with all these girls 1 a day 5 days a week for 5 months. Choosing the best girl of the week each time.

This would leave 20 girls left still. Now, like I said, I have a hard time choosing from 20 boxes of cereal. How the hell am I going to choose between these 20 girls? :(

Edit: Anyone, below who has taken this thread seriously, I would like to question whether you have any sort of sense of humour.
