is internet dating successful or crap as in my experience

i have met two guys online dating, and they appeared normal but they seemed only interested in sex, like in text message it would be sexual. if we were trying to find a relationship then why would there be a rush???? ive spoke to other guys and they also seem very just into sex. im not into talking to someone for months and then meeting, which may also be my downfall in wrnog kind of guys
