Is this OK/a normal thing to say??

Hey guys, I wanted to take a quick poll and see if this is OK for my wife to say to me... We were fighting quite a bit last night, over something pretty minor (about my family...) and at the end she said "They may be your family, but you live with me and I can make your life a living f'ing hell". Is this normal? Is this a "hey i'm upset" sorta thing... She says stuff like this a lot, and I feel like I'm just getting used to it but I feel like it's not fair... or right... Thoughts...? Sorry if this seems like a no brainer... I have been in a bad situation for a while...
