Still in contact with Ex Bf's mother

When I was with him, his mum and I got on like a house on fire- I loved her like a second mother. I haven't spoken to my ex in 3 years... although we see one another every day. But She and I are still in contact via email. Is this wrong? We never mention him, just talk about life and similar interests. We never meet up; just talk!
