My girlfriend of 3 months was physically affectionate, to the extent that even after that length of time she never initiated kisses, hugs etc. She was always cold.
FYI she's a virgin and 19 years old.
I brought this up to her, basically asking whether something was wrong and explaining that I wanted more out of the relationship because it felt like we were just friends sometimes. Unfortunately I did this via text because we live about an hour away from each other.
She got super upset and dumped me.
3 months is a long time to wait and basically I just wanted her to reciprocate and I wanted to advance the relationship.
I think she over-reacted, but I said sorry and that we'd sort it out. She then started throwing out the old "you only want me for sex" and now she just wants to be friends.
I have absolutely no idea what I did wrong and I'm just looking for some other opinions. Should I just let her go? The thing is I really do like her - she's just frigid as hell.
tl;dr
- unaffectionate girlfriend after three months
- i brought it up and she dumped me
- i don't understand women
Cheers.
