One of my old teachers has been diagnosed with cancer - she is an amazing woman and really helped me with some issues I had last term. She's not coming back into school until next year so I'm not going to be able to speak with her, since I'm leaving for university.
I want to write to her to thank her and explain how much she helped me, but would this be really intrusive? It's obviously an awful time for her, her husband and family and friends, does she/do they really need some email/letter from me?
